At Botanical Weddings, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to create unforgettable celebrations using living plants and eco-friendly styling — bringing natural beauty to weddings while protecting the planet for the future. 

Our sister company: Löv Leaf is an established house plant shop in Hereford City Centre, with strong sustainability values and we are proud to extend our commitment to sustainability into the world of wedding styling. This policy sets out how we embed sustainability principles into our plant rental service, creative styling, and supplier partnerships. 

🌱 Our Commitments 

Living Plants, Not Waste 

  • We prioritise living plants over cut flowers to reduce waste, extend plant life beyond the wedding day, and offer couples a greener alternative. 
  • After weddings, plants are returned, reused, or rehomed, ensuring minimal environmental impact. 

Responsible Sourcing 

  • We work only with suppliers who share our sustainability values, from growers and pot makers to logistics partners. 
  • Where possible, we source locally and choose eco-friendly, recyclable, or biodegradable materials. 

Eco-Friendly Styling 

  • All our styling is designed to be reusable — from plant vessels to backdrops and props. 
  • We aim to eliminate single-use plastics across our services, favouring natural or recyclable alternatives. 

Energy & Transport Efficiency 

  • Deliveries are planned carefully to reduce unnecessary mileage and fuel use. 
  • We are exploring electric or hybrid vehicle options for future deliveries. 
  • Energy-saving practices are embedded in both our Botanical Weddings team and Löv Leaf shop. 

Community & Education 

  • We actively share sustainability knowledge with our couples, inspiring them to make greener choices for their wedding day. 
  • Through our Löv Leaf shop, we run workshops and offer resources on eco-friendly plant care and sustainable living. 

Continuous Improvement 

  • We regularly review our practices, set measurable goals, and track progress towards reducing our carbon footprint, waste, and energy use. 
  • We keep up to date with new sustainability legislation and industry standards.

  • Reuse plants and décor items across events to maximise their lifecycle. 
  • Use recyclable or compostable packaging for transport and storage. 
  • Implement a plant pot recycling scheme via our sister company: Löv Leaf house plant shop. 
  • Minimise paper use, favouring digital brochures and communication. 
  • Support staff and contractors with sustainability training.
