Last weekend marked our 15th wedding at The Shack Revolution! ….Fifteen!
That feels like such a magical number to reach✨.
Not because we’re counting in a business sense, but because every time we pull up outside that fantastic industrial building, unload the van and walk through those doors, it feels familiar in the best possible way. Comfortable. Creative. Exciting. Fun!
We just love how The Shack has become such a special part of our Botanical Weddings journey so far and can’t wait for more celebrations in their gorgeous building. We have four more so far this year already confirmed, will we reach 20 by 2027?!
Why We Just Work
The Shack Revolution has that rare balance of being bold and industrial, yet warm and welcoming. The exposed brick, steel beams and open space create this incredible blank canvas. It invites creativity rather than limiting it.
And the team are just brilliant! Calm, organised, kind and genuinely supportive of suppliers. There’s no ego, no stress energy. Just a shared desire to create an amazing experience for every couple walking through their doors.
When suppliers and venues trust each other, the whole day flows better. And that’s exactly how it feels at The Shack.
Even behind the scenes, there are clearly marked sections for each couple’s belongings, keeping everything organised and flowing smoothly. It might seem like a small detail, but those little bits of structure create such a calm energy on the day and that calm filters through to everyone.
Why Living Plants Suit The Shack So Perfectly
Industrial venues and living greenery are a dream pairing 🤝.
The height of the ceilings allows our statement plants to really breathe. Palms and layered foliage soften the raw brick without hiding it whilst tying the room together with the shacks own well established plants. The light from the spot lights catch the leaves in the most beautiful way against the industrial textures.
We’re never trying to overpower the space. We’re enhancing it. Adding movement. Adding depth. Adding that sense of life that makes the room feel immersive rather than decorated.
It’s why styles like Disco Jungle and Industrial Vibes feel so at home there. The venue holds bold ideas beautifully.
Choosing Local, Even When You’re Not
Something we’ve noticed over the years is that not all of the couples who marry at The Shack are from Hereford. Many travel from all over the UK to celebrate there (and you can see why!).
And yet, so many of them intentionally choose. That genuinely means so much. It supports independent businesses, keeps travel to a minimum and strengthens the creative community that surrounds the venue.
It says a lot about the kind of couples The Shack attracts. Thoughtful, community-minded people who want to invest in the place they’re celebrating in. Couples who value working with suppliers who know the space, who collaborate well together and who care about creating something sustainable and connected rather than transactional.
Being based locally in Hereford ourselves makes everything feel that little bit smoother. We know the layout, the timings, the way the light moves through the space at different points in the day. There’s a quiet understanding that comes from experience and that always shows in the final result.
A Space That Loves Plants as Much as We Do
One of the reasons living greenery works so beautifully at The Shack Revolution is that they already understand the power of plants.
If you’ve visited the venue, you’ll know their permanent greenery adds warmth and softness to the industrial backdrop. And those gorgeous in-house plants? A lot of them come from Lov Leaf, our sister shop!
Something feels really special about that. A gorgeous venue that values plants. A local business providing them. And couples choosing to continue that story by bringing in even more living greenery for their day.
It all feels connected, intentional and rooted in the local creative community.
It’s Been More Than Just Wedding Days
Our relationship with The Shack Revolution hasn’t just been about those fifteen weddings.
We’ve created styled shoots together.
Welcomed excited couples at wedding fairs.
Dressed the space for awards nights.
Each time strengthening the creative partnership and building something that feels bigger than one single event.
That’s what makes reaching fifteen weddings feel special. It isn’t transactional. It’s collaborative.

Fifteen weddings in and we still get that little spark when we know we’re heading back there. We have four more confirmed for 2026, can we reach 20..or more before 2027?!
